Its bullshit crap... to have beats after beats Its been going on for more than 3-5 months... and its freaking unreal...going on in the name of variance... this crap does not stop....if it is random... why dont I win hands...when deep... EDIT: ITS JUST RANDOM... MOVE ON...Stick to your game...

Positivity in negativity

So I have ran bad for the last 3-4 weeks. To say that I have run like death, would be an understatement. But on second thought, this is more of figurative speech. I may have had bad run, I may have lost pots where I was supposed to win 90% of the times, but my instincts are still alive. I am still thinking, its putting pressure on me to not go in auto pilot. The worse thing that comes out of bad beats or death like run is that you start playing differently, taking chances since you remember that you were beaten before by a similar hand, perhaps, I might be able to beat em with that hand. The best thing that can come out of a bad run is focus, consistency. I have been in all in situations in the past few weeks with a over pair vs a under pair so many times and so far deep with big huge stacks, that winning those hands would have guaranteed a final table. Happened in Big 8 with 40 left KK<1010 and countless more. Expectation to win were hammered, I started questioning whether its my pessimist outlook that is getting me beaten due to once bitten twice shy attitude. This is from an article from Jared Tendler . One thing I want to bring out of this down swing is to keep focus, identify my weak plays ( as they get hidden in the layer of bad beats) and play my A game. I aim to take a big one down soon... Working on the MTT grind

For the past few months have been working on 180 mans and MTTS. Results have been decent. Working towards 99.99 on OPR. Difficult task, but hey if you can do it, so can I I am coming up. More to come! GL

Effect of fear and lack of confidence

So we all know fear is a big killer. I have heard people say fear is okay as it keeps us wary of things. It keeps us in check. But I think I found it otherwise, it seems in my case fear was causing me to make wrong decisions, it was making me negative as in predicting that I would loose the hand. And negativity boosts pessimism. I have been running like sickly for the last few months, whether its a MTT or Hypers 6 man 9 mans or 18 Man Turbos. I have lost sunday storm 66 vs AK vs 88 on flops of 6 A 3 for huge chip leads with my set getting beat by bigger set on river. I even started tweeting my bad beats. like insane beats where AA < A3 etc. I had lost complete confidence on Online poker, I even sent out an email to PS a month or so back mentioning about running bad. My bad beats got worse or so it felt. But today when I sat down, I thought, I will not worry about the variance and will just play the game with right decisions. I removed the idea from my mind that PS software is working against me. Hoping for better results, I started playing 180/45 mans. To my horror, things did not improve, I changed my bet sizing to not shove any hands, thinking shoving is not liked by the software at one point. But after loosing AA < A9, KK < A3 like atleast 5 times. I thought forget it, shoving does not make any difference. Back to my fearless state of mind, where defeat would have no impact on my playing I continued shoving at correct spots and holding a few and loosing a few. With about 6 games left out of 40ish games I played, I min cashed in like 2 or 3 180 mans and came 1 3rd in 45 man or so. With the remaining 6 I ran super hot or so it felt, when my AK would win a flip for a change. It felt good. Am pleased to say won 2 180 mans and amassed a ROI of 200 + in the 40 SNGS 45/180 mans. Not shabby for 2.5 hour of work.

Grinding MTTs today...back to my A game

Hypers it is for now.

Due to the busy schedule I have started playing games that require smaller time span to complete a set. Hypers it is for now. Goal for the month of June is to play 2000 Hyper, since it takes 1 hour for 60 games, hopefully can knock it out in 1 hour. Need a coach to improve the game.

I keep getting bad beats...does not sound real....

Seems like the site I play at has doomed my account.... Another one where I have big stack...and mind you these are not flips...all...in...pre...

Working towards improving the MTT game

Took down a small MTT, but it does help with the confidence in the MTT.

Have worked little bit on the MTT game and it seems it shows in the OPR rankings. I think the drop has to do with running real bad over the short run. Still believe, my MTT game is strong and can improve. Aiming to get back to the top notch.

What a final table!

Okay so here I am after taking down a tourney, what a tourney it was. My favorite uaredead lol was at my table with final 18 left.

So at the final table with 4 handed...deal was suggested..chip chop gave me 750...I asked for 850...with just 8 bb... 2 big stacks with 30 bb each and another smaller one with 10 bb said no to me. I cancelled the deal and played on.

With 5 bb left I came back to take it down.

Additionally have been learning 6 max at 7 level and here are the results....lots of variation and not very high roi...with 6 max..In last 2 weeks have played about 800 of these



Hope to win at least 1 table in Battle of planet...will try :-)

Time for change in game

As the title suggests and some of my previous posts have mentioned, I am looking for a change of games.

I have been primarily a MTT grinder with some sng thrown in with good effect. But over the period of time.. I have played the games.. I have won long and far in between to feed my micro stakes bankroll.

I am making a determined effort to try and grind more sngs.

I have attempted 18 mans... that unfortunately have not gone well. Perhaps too many leaks out there. Or perhaps I need to give it a fresh try at some point.

Regardless of that I have been trying hand at 45 and 180 man. Here are some games I played in 4 hours 15-20 tabling sets.



I will try and play these and post my results every so often to keep a track.

Pokerstars WBCOOP 2012

Its that time of the year, where all the excitement of online world ravels into one. For any online poker player, a lot of time is spent in front of the computer.



And nothing better to have online diary to keep track of your performance, to share with community that does the same thing as you do :-)

Also along the journey you may end up winning 5K, that is. Ladies and Gentlemen put your hands together, its time for Pokerstars WBCOOP 2012.



What would you do with extra 5K

1. Research says that if the finances are right you might be able to save your marriage :-)



2. Travel more around the world in hope of finding easier opponents to play poker with :-)



3. Look Younger : I would be able to eat healthier food. Research has it, eating healthy makes you look younger.



4. For any online poker enthusiast who eats, drinks, sleeps poker would mean that I could play higher limits than I do now. That would be a welcome change.



5. I might be able to do what every 9-5 worker at some point wants to do :-)

18 mans running tough

18 mans have been a disaster and a waste of time.
45 mans suck.
180 mans, getting AA beat by KQ, and J9 suck
MTT, 1 in a few get hit.

Cash played by NITS, not sure what to play.

Getting hit by variance or am a bad player...probably the later.

Yea, as the post says it, ran well in spots. Made a final table, came in 3rd after taking the deal. Usually play really micro level tourneys. Will try playing some low stakes if possible and bankroll permits.



Additionally, am interested to try some 6 max hyper turbos.

Collected some data @ 1.5 micro level :-)



Hope to try 7 level and see if the ROI is sustainable.

Dec Week 1

So tried a few things, trying to find the game I can beat. This week I played some MTT's and decided to play 18 man turbo's like so many pro's out there do.

I tried 3.5 level, seems like never felt comfortable with 1.5 18 mans but looking at math, if one can make 10% + return and put decent volume and at higher buy in, this may be worth it.

Here is the sample that I had for the last few days for 18 mans.



I played 1 game of 7 doll 18 man, but decided to give more time to get a reasonable sample to move up the stakes.

I am hoping to hit 7 18s in 2012.

In search for my first million

Okay here I am, in search for my first million. Like every body else in the world, its never easy I guess to search for the first million, specially when you have 500 bucks in hands and a dream.

So here I will be posting my progress and see how and when can I get there.
